We're giving away $1,000 grant to young, passionate Wild Hearts working on creative projects in Australia or New Zealand.
Whether you’re just starting out or working on your passion full time, we hope these microgrants will supercharge your ambition and help you to take your passion to the next level.
Join a community of like-minded Wild Hearts as you sail the open seas. Share updates as you build your project, support your fellow Wild Hearts as they build theirs, learn together, and inspire each other to level-up your ambition.
Applications will be evaluated on three simple criteria: Creativity, Conviction, and Inspiration.

How does your work showcase your originality, whether that be conventionally or not? How are you exploring your curiosities and passion?

How have you shown commitment to this passion? Built prototypes of your machine? Interviewed subjects for your podcast? Listened to every Tim Ferris podcast?

What sort of things will we fund?
We use a broad definition of creativity. You could be working on an art project, making a machine, organising a community garden, making a podcast or designing a video game. The sky is the limit. All we want to do is help unleash your creativity, explore your passions and your curiosities.
What’s on offer?
Criteria
You have to be aged between 16-25
The money needs to be used for some sort of project. Maybe you need to build a set for your theatre production? Perhaps you want to take people on a tour of The Dish in Parks (short tour!), maybe you want to make a flying robot with your friends!
The project needs to be happening within the next 3 months, with an actionable timeline.
You need to be located in Australia or New Zealand.
If you are successful, you’ll join our community and share updates with us along the way. We're talking videos, photos, haikus, whatever works for you.

Who can enter?
The grants are available to young people aged between 16-25 based in New Zealand or Australia with a creative project in mind.
How do I apply?
Simply fill out our quick application form and you're done! We'll be in contact with next steps if the application progresses to round 2.
What kinds of projects can be submitted?
You can apply with any type of project; we are particularly interested in supporting projects that are unique, personally meaningful, and can reach a defined milestone in the next 3 months.
When are submissions due?
Grant applications must be submitted by August 31st, 2021.
What happens next?
September 1st-3rd: Judges review first round of applications
September 3rd: Round 2 video applications start
September 7th: Video applications due
September 10th: Final grantees selected
Go ahead with the project! The Wild Heart judges will select and award up to $1000 to 20 outstanding project proposals.
Successfully funded grantees will join the first ever class community of like-minded Wild Hearts, supporting each other with creative pursuits. The purpose of the community will be to share updates as you create your project, become a support network, learn new tips and tricks, and inspire each other to level-up your ambition.
Proposals that are selected to win a prize will be notified by September 10th, 2021.
